We have begun to discuss possible experiments for Teddynaut 2012. We have a few areas we would like to research, and have come up with some interesting ideas.
What makes this high altitude project different is the fact that we are more or less limited to sending up a 350 gram balloon. That won't be a problem but it will limit our payload. White Eagle l was sent up to 33 km on a 1200 gram balloon with an 850 gram payload, ascending at 5 meters per second.
Using our trusty balloon burst calculator we see that we are limited to a payload of no more than 700 grams if we want a balloon burst no higher than 25,000 meters.http://www.cusf.co.uk/calc/
PROJECT NOTE: We sent the teddy successfully up to 25 km and won an honorable second place in Norway among 42 schools! see http://www.nrk.no/nordland/snart-skal-teddynaut-ut-i-rommet-1.8168056
