HOLOLENS

What is Hololens?  And why do I actively use Hololens in the science classroom?

With the use of a HoloLens the students can fully immerse in a simulated environment by:

-Using 3D holograms for high-level interactive training.

-Using mixed reality to make large data sets easier to navigate and understand.

-Remote training and support for distance learning.

-Narrative storytelling, artistic expression and interactive reports.

Here is a presentation I created about why and how I use the Hololens, (in Norwegian)

Hololens App Galaxy Explorer

When engaging my students in the study of the planets I like using Galaxy Explorer. I can simulcast the hololens to the smartboard or projector so all students can see what the viewer sees in the hololens, using the microsoft Hololens app downloaded on my pc.

There are many apps for the Hololens appropriate for the science classroom.

Here is a report in Norwegian NRK news from a science class I taught, using the Hololens. (in Norwegian)
